What should I bring during the tour?

We highly recommend bringing warm clothing (a thick jacket, beanie, gloves) for the cold temperatures at Bromo and Ijen. Also, pack comfortable trekking shoes, a small backpack, a personal camera, sunscreen, and sandals or waterproof shoes for the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.

What is the difficulty level of the Ijen crater hike?

The Ijen crater hike is of moderate difficulty. It involves a 3-kilometer trek uphill on a well-defined path, which typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Some sections can be steep, but it is manageable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.

What is the difficulty level of the Mount Bromo hike?

The Mount Bromo trek is considered easy. A 4WD Jeep will take you to the main viewpoint and then to the 'Sea of Sand' parking area. From there, it's a relatively flat walk followed by a climb up a staircase of about 250 steps to the crater rim.

Approximately 3-hour scenic drive from Surabaya to Cemoro Lawang (Bromo area).

Our day begins in the early hours (around 1:00 AM), with a thrilling stargazing session, followed by a view of the Milky Way. As the first light of dawn breaks, witness the spectacular sunrise over the volcanic landscape of Bromo. The dormant Mount Batok, the active Mount Bromo, and the towering Mount Semeru are all part of this majestic view that stretches across the caldera. After sunrise, we continue our journey over the expansive Pasir (Sand Sea) in a 4WD, heading to the Poten Temple. From here, you can choose to either take a 3km hike or ride a pony to the base of Mount Bromo. A steep 253-step climb rewards you with a close-up view of the crater rim, where you can witness the raw power of the active volcano. We then set off for Madakaripura Waterfall, about an hour’s drive away. A short 30-minute trek through the lush greenery (wear your slippers!) will lead you to this magnificent waterfall, a stunning natural beauty nestled deep in the hills. After taking in the sight, we continue our journey to Bondowoso for an overnight stay.
