What should I bring during the tour?

We highly recommend bringing warm clothing (a thick jacket, beanie, gloves) for the cold temperatures at Bromo and Ijen. Also, pack comfortable trekking shoes, a small backpack, a personal camera, sunscreen, and sandals or waterproof shoes for the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall.

What is the difficulty level of the Ijen crater hike?

The Ijen crater hike is of moderate difficulty. It involves a 3-kilometer trek uphill on a well-defined path, which typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Some sections can be steep, but it is manageable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.

What is the difficulty level of the Mount Bromo hike?

The Mount Bromo trek is considered easy. A 4WD Jeep will take you to the main viewpoint and then to the 'Sea of Sand' parking area. From there, it's a relatively flat walk followed by a climb up a staircase of about 250 steps to the crater rim.

Your day begins at 1 AM with a preparation for stargazing and a view of the Milky Way over the Bromo caldera. Enjoy the surreal sunrise as it rises over the volcanic landscape, with Mount Batok, Mount Bromo, and the towering Semeru in the distance. The adventure continues with a thrilling 4WD ride or motorcycle ride over the Sand Sea to Poten Temple. From here, you can take a 3 km hike or a pony ride to reach the base of Mount Bromo and ascend 253 steps to get up-close views of the crater rim.After witnessing the incredible Bromo sunrise, we will journey to Madakaripura Waterfall. A 1-hour drive leads you to the entrance, followed by a 30-minute trek (wearing slippers) to this hidden gem of nature. After exploring, we’ll continue our journey to Bondowoso, with a stop at a local restaurant for lunch (at own expense). In the evening, check-in at hotel in Bondowoso for a well-deserved rest. Dinner is included at the hotel.
